Be Warned: You WILL Want a Pair of Knee-High Socks After Reading This
By Leah Melby
If you're into polished, ladylike outfits, you need to have blogger Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific crowding up your social-media life. She's a pro at this sort of look (and coincidentally, one of the nicest girls ever, which makes obsessing over her outfits somehow feel less creepy to me).
While scrolling my Instagram feed yesterday, I noticed this posh-grunge combo of a buffalo plaid jacket, black mini, tobacco leather booties, and...burgundy knee-high socks. I wasn't totally shocked—I reported to you guys on Cara Delevingne and Taylor Swift rocking the trend in a "get ready for it!" sort of way, but Blair? I'd kind of assumed her super-feminine "Jackie O for the Pinterest generation" look wouldn't quite gel with it. I was totally wrong.

She'd JUST posted another knee-high-sock outfit days before, which took the accessory from laid-back weekend to prim-and-proper grown-up schoolgirl. For this one, she skipped heels in favor of chunky loafers and made plaid completely on-duty by layering it with a camel cape and a bow-necked blouse.
If you still aren't convinced, get ready for this. Weeks earlier, she posted a third outfit with statement socks, and this one might be my most favorite of all. It's classic Blair to me, with a nipped-at-the-waist coat dress and a pussy-bow blouse. For shoes, instead of loafers or ankle booties, she went super classy with multistrap heels.
